Hi, There is a problem in the "Extras" disk image that makes it difficult for Mac users (or at least this Mac user) to create a CD-ROM for distribution, or copy the files to a Mac drive. The problem is in the how_to:Spreadsheets folder and perhaps elsewhere. There are several pairs of files that have names that differ only in the case of some of the letters (for example sty5.GIF and sty5.gif); the Mac OS X refuses to copy the second of this type of pair nor anything that comes after the first instance of this duplication. Since the names appear in disk images which are read-only, it is not possible to change the name of one of the offending pairs before attempting to copy the files to the Mac. After a lot of experimentation, I found a way to make a copy of the disk image contents that included the pairs of files with one name slightly modified by adding a number at the end of one of the duplicate file names. Since OpenOffice is new to me, I do not know if slightly changing one of the pair's file names would cause any problems. I would also need to know if changing the file names is acceptable and does not violate any rules related to the distribution of the modified disk.
