For several years I have been using OpenOffice with great enthusiasm. Currently
I am on version 2.3.0.
I have a few suggestions for improvements / additions to the Math formula
editor.
First of all, it would be very nice to be able to edit the formatting style of
the formula without having to open the formula itself (so from the writer
environment). Also it would be convenient to be able to do this using styles
(such as for all other element), such that the formulas can be given similar
styles all at once.
Secondly, for the Math editor, it would clear up a lot of confusion when
opening and closing brackets were coloured similarly, such that it becomes very
easy to see which brackets have been closed and which are still open. I use
many large formulas which contain lots of {} brackets and sometimes it gets
very confusing, colouring would help much!
Hopefully, these suggestions can be incorporated into a future version of the
program.
