Hi all,

the 3.0 Beta (like version 2.x before it) does not give an obvious method of
changing the
installation destination on WinXP. At work, I would like to install into
c:\OOo\ - instead of
c:\program files\, as the latter option is blocked by access rights.

As a teacher, I would like to use the software with classes - but unless this
is addressed, I
cannot do so and hence a lot of potential users (my students) think the only
thing out there
is MSO.

btw, I teach ICT, but have no control over some of the network settings, which
are managed
externally by a contracted agency supporting all schools in Northern Ireland -
they are
unlikely to change for just me. We can add software but OOo has proven too
difficult to
install across a network. AFAIK changing the install path at install time
would give our local
sysop the control he needs.

Rgds,

Clarke
