I tried [shift][enter], then [shift][tab], no joy.
[enter], [shift][tab], produces 2.).
If i [enter], [enter] to end the sequence, then set the style of the
paragraph to "numbering 1" list style it generates a new number 1.),
restarting the numbering.

To me the only way is to end the sequence, manually indent the paragraph
appropriately, leaving it outside the sequence, then restart the
numbering at two when required.

How would you accomplish it?
