First of all, softwares are supposed to make users life easier, if it doesn't, what is their purpose ? But to serve the interest of all and makes us win some time...
Secondly the point is not that wizard are only for dummies, experts can use it to generate quickly a cv and tune it following their taste. We can focus more on the content instead of having our attention on the presentation. THAT is the point. Therefore a wizard ? Why not ?
