I can only speak form mainland China (Simplified Chinese). The are only one or two handful of independent contributers in China. The vast majority of people working on or related to OOo are with IBM (Lotus Symphony), CS2C In Shanghai (Neoshine Office) or my employer Redflag 2000 in Beijing (RedOffice). Redflag 2000 is working continuously on community building, but we had some major drawbacks. My colleague, who did a tremendous job on this has quit about six month ago and I was mostly bound by the OOoCon. We will try to resume now. > > What's the URL where the videos will be posted? I guess it will take some time until we are ready, but then they should be linked at the OOoCon program pages: http://marketing.openoffice.org/ooocon2008/programme/wednesday.html etc ... > > Any big development showcased during the conference? No real big development, but I liked the outlook of both keynotes. The ODPs of both Michael Karasick and Michael Bemmer will be online soon. As well, I find the work on OOo for Mobile Internet Devices of my colleague Cheng Xiuzhi and his team very innovative: http://marketing.openoffice.org/ooocon2008/programme/friday_1481.pdf > > How much attention was there for ODF? compared to UOF There was a whole day workshop and several other sessions about ODF, but no focus on UOF. We ran the OOoCon, but no event about standards.
