On Mon, 21 Sep 2009 14:02:27 +0000 (UTC) Came this utterance formulated by Chris Taylor to my mailbox:
> Hi Can anyone tell me why this happens > I have two computers one with widose vista the other with Linux Ubuntu > both with MS Office and OO whrn I change from one computer to the > other there is a problem with the fonts and formatting > Any help would be GR8 > Fonts are an Operating System installed device. The two systems generally have different sets of fonts installed. They will do font substitution if the desired font is not present. As Lucida Handwriting is a rarer font windows probably substitutes a default font instead. One way of getting around this is to export as a PDF, though this will not work if the work is to be continued on the windows machine. -- Michael All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well - Julian of Norwich 1342 - 1416 --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected]
