Hello Jim,

This is more a question for [email protected] - you might want to
subscribe to that list.

It depends a bit on what version of Mac OS you have. 10.4 and up is no
problem. For Panther (10.3) there is an older version of
OpenOffice.org that works. For Jaguar (10.2), OOo is more like a
vintage car...

Tiger, Leopard, Snow Leopard (10.4->10.6)
official version for a Mac G4 (PowerPC) is still 2.4:
http://download.openoffice.org/other.html#en-US
but you can get a quite trustworthy 'release candidate' of the newest
OOo 3.1.1 here:
http://ooopackages.good-day.net/pub/OpenOffice.org/MacOSX/3.1.1rc2_20090827/
the US_english version is 6th on the list (between md5 and _af)

Panther (quoting from a recent mail from Larry Gusaas):
The last version for Panther is OO.o 2.1.0. The US English version is
available from the archive site:
http://ftp.tu-chemnitz.de/pub/openoffice-archive/stable/2.1.0/
(if you don't mind downloading from former Eastern Germany... :-))
