Hi,
Like any other spreadsheet application, Calc is a very bad tool for csv
editing. Your format where everything is quoted as string indicates that
you are using the new "Excel-CSV Standard".
Please, use Excel for this type of editing or some decent text editor, a
dedicated csv editor or a flexible database application.
Like Excel, Calc has not the required tools to open, edit, calculate and
store the exact same column formats.
The Excel-workaround lets you store everything as literal strings and
Excel evaluates all numeric strings on the fly (and sometimes
differently on different systems). No other spreadsheet does this for
good reasons.
