OpenOffice.org does not have an email module but instead uses the

The machine I'm sending this from has OOo 3.1.1/XP. I'm afraid I see no
such option available. Nor does the help file help.
However, with TB set as system mail program, 'send as email' from within
Writer does work as expected (but not with pegasus as system default
mail program).
Maybe the OP could clarify exactly what he has done and saw when he says
"having trouble getting it to find the smtp(outgoing server)"
CC'd to OP who's not subscribed so is likely to miss any and all
answers. (Do we have to go round that issue yet again.....?)
