Hi Bernhard,

Even if you did mention it more than once - most of us thought you
would be talking about the program and perhaps its included database.
But what you are referring to is Issue Tracker, the website based
bug tracker system.
Yes, in response to your other post I thanked you for clarifying that
point. I did not realize that most people would not recognize the term
"issues database" [where I guess I have spent way too much time ;-)]; by
calling it Issue Tracker, I think more people will understand the question.
Looking inside any of the issues ... I see the strange time and date
format you mentioned ... Unfortunately I can't reply your question
why this format has been chosen once Issue Tracker had been set up -
and I'm not sure anybody else here might help you. Perhaps someone
in the QA or the website project has any clue, but I expect only one
or another guy from CollabNet, the company hosting our website and
Issue Tracker, could know more...
Thanks! - that was my alternative question: Where to ask about it? Do
you know how to write to someone in QA? Also, I am - even as I write to
you - taking your suggestion to write to someone for "the website
project", by putting the question to [email protected]; is that
where you meant I should ask?
I don't know if you heard that our website is switching to Kenai,
including a change from Issue Tracker to Bugzilla (IIRC).
No, I had not heard that - but then I'm chronically uninformed... ;-)
Bugzilla at Mozilla and Redhat uses a different time stamp (YYYY-MM-DD
hh:mm:ss [TIMEZONE]), so your problem (if there is one) might be over in
a few months...
Ahhh... then I'm content to wait [though I would still love to know what
motivated that strange format in the first place ;-) ].
Best regards,
John
