Usually, the best way to bring new ideas to the developers is to use issuezilla. You have two ways to achieve this: 1) you can go to qa.openoffice.org and use the link under "Project tools" in the left sidebar or use the "big" link that's called "Report a Bug" in the main site 2) you can go to de.openoffice.org and click on "IssueTracker" under the heading "Mithelfen" (second link in that list).
