Is Open Office capable of converting documents and/or images to pdf format?
Thank you for your consideration.

If you can open the document in one of the OpenOffice.org components, you can use File > Export to save it as a PDF; this does not replace the original document but creates a new file. If what you are trying to use is in a supported graphic format (like .jpg or .png) you can use Writer, and Insert > Picture > From file, then again the Export. Or if the image is in the clipboard, you can copy it into a Writer document. You may need to adjust the page orientation or margins (Format > Page) for best results.
