I, too, have had this same problem. I thought that I was inadvertently touching the (bluetooth) mouse or that my surface was on a slant. If one has indicated, or has started to write at a certain spot, the input is placed in the correct space or column, but is unseen unless one manually returns to the original sheet or page.
