Open vSwitch is using OpenFlow 1.0.  That version of NOX is speaking OpenFlow 
0.8.9 (the high-order bit being set (as in 0x97) indicates that it was a 
pre-release version).  Since the protocols are different, just changing the 
#define won't help.  You'll need to use the "openflow-1.0" branch of NOX.  This 
was discussed on this mailing list last week in the thread titled "openflow 
version incompatible with nox?".  KK Yap provided instructions for doing a NOX
