I don't know what setup you want, but it should be pretty straight-forward regardless of the location of NOX. If you have questions about that, they probably will fit better on the nox-dev mailing list. As for interoperability of NOX and Open vSwitch, just make sure that they both speak OpenFlow 1.0. You can check this by locating "openflow.h" in both and making sure that OFP_VERSION is defined as 0x01.
