Can you tell us anything about your planned application?  The most
popular OVS usage is for virtualization, in which it is most common to
put at most one physical port (or one bond) on a given bridge.  In that
case, spanning tree is not necessary?  We've talked about implementing
spanning tree before, but each time we've concluded that it is not
important for virtual environments.
