This release contains many new features, bug fixes and scalability
improvements.
Feature highlights include:
* Ability to define policies over IPv6
* Bonding improvements, including LACP support
* 802.1ag link monitoring support
* Support for extensible match (XM) extensions to OpenFlow
* Improved QoS, and OpenFlow support
* And many others. See the full change log here:

In the last year, we've seen a large upswing in use, including production
deployments in enterprise, service provider, and Telco environments, and so we
are working hard to improve the feature set while still providing a
production-ready platform. As always, patches and feature suggestions are
welcome.
Thanks and enjoy!
--The Open vSwitch Team
--------------------
Open vSwitch is a production quality, multilayer open source virtual switch.
It is designed to enable massive network automation through programmatic
extension, while still supporting standard management interfaces. Open vSwitch
can operate both as a soft switch running within the hypervisor, and as the
control stack for switching silicon. It has been ported to multiple
virtualization platforms and switching chipsets.
