For the details about the versions:
root@xen-blade13:~# ovs-vswitchd --version
ovs-vswitchd (Open vSwitch) 1.2.1+build0
Compiled Sep 6 2011 01:01:15
OpenFlow versions 0x1:0x1
It's the one from de debian unstable repository.
Thanks for all the info.
I ran some quick tests on our 1.2 branch and didn't spot a memory leak
quickly with valgrind. I'm now running a longer test to see if I can
provoke ovs-vswitchd into using a lot of memory, but so far no luck.
Hi,
Thanks. I ran some more tests on my side flooding the network with
random sources, sometimes
it happens again, sometimes it doesnt at all, and I issue very time the
same tests, so I don't get it :)
It's more a cpu usage problem than memory, last test i did:
hping3 -q -S -L 0 -p 80 -i u50 192.168.50.2
PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S*%CPU* %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
2211 root 10 -10 7660 3816 1076 R *93* 0.5 1:33.17 ovs-vswitchd
1793 root 20 0 0 0 0 S 25 0.0 0:24.04 netback/0
constant 93-95% cpu usage
