This could be because I'm trying to use the same interface (eth0) for both
traffic and openflow control, but it is causing me a problem and I want to
know if theres any way to get around it.

I have open vswitch and virtualbox set up on a laptop with one physical
Ethernet port. That port is connected to a hardware switch with openflow
capabilities. This switch is connected to the Beacon controller. When I turn
on the controller, it registers the switch and the openvswitch machine.
However, the VM on the openvswitch machine can't talk through/to the
hardware switch. I figure this is because I haven't done "ovs-vsctl add-port
lan0 eth0" to put eth0 on lan0, which is the bridge where the VM is on.
However when I do that, it disconnects from Beacon. Is there any way around
this or do I need two physical ports?

Thanks.
