Ben, I believe the reference is to this: https://github.com/Broadcom-Switch/of-dpa/tree/master/OF-DPA-2.0
During controller/app development, it is easier to work with a software switch, that emulates a hardware switch pipeline. To emulate OFDPA, group chaining support is necessary. It was also needed for some earlier related work, which pushed multiple MPLS labels in ECMP groups. https://wiki.onosproject.org/display/ONOS/Installation+Guide#InstallationGuide-CPqDSoftwareSwitch Group chaining would be really nice to have Thanks Saurav On Tue, Jun 2, 2015 at 11:21 PM, Ben Pfaff <[email protected]> wrote: > OVS doesn't support group chaining, but we didn't know that anyone > cared, so it's interesting to hear from two (potential) users. > > On Tue, Jun 02, 2015 at 10:36:22PM -0700, Saurav Das wrote: > > Group chaining is optional in OF1.3.
