Hi Seyed, Shouldn’t you use packet type 0x8847 instead of 0x0800 in your layer 2 to identify to your higher layer that it is MPLS packet?? I have never tried it but it seems logical.

From: discuss [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Seyed Hossein Mortazavi Sent: Monday, September 07, 2015 6:37 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [ovs-discuss] MPLS push - OVS 2.4 Hi, I'm running OVS 2.4 on Ubuntu 14.04 with Kernel 3.11. I'm trying to add MPLS headers (and then pop them) to IP packets. My topology looks like: h1---s1---s2---s3---h2 I've statically already configured the switches such that they would have rules for ARP installed. However adding the rule: add-flow s1 "in_port=1,dl_type=0x0800,dl_src=26:95:84:d0:54:56,dl_dst=26:95:84:d0:54:56,actions=push_mpls:0x8847,set_mpls_label:10,output:2" Doesn't seem to work (both for Openflow 1.3 and Openflow 1.0). Packets do not get to s2. Does anyone know how I can do so? based on the FAQ, "Open vSwitch version 2.4 can match, push, or pop up to 3 MPLS labels and look past the MPLS label into the encapsulated packet. It will have kernel support for MPLS, yielding improved performance." -- Hossein
