<http://archive.openflow.org/wp/deploy-labsetup/> suppose I want to connect a
machine (say a VM ‘Client’) to Switch 1 and another machine ( VM ’Server’) to
Switch 3 and both the VMs are on the same subnet as the switches. Since all the
machines are on the same subnet I’m assuming that you could ping Server from
Client without using the open flow setup right? So my question is : how do
you use the open flow setup to reach Server from Client. (the pipeline should
be Client —— S1 ——— S2 ——— S3 —— Server)
Reaching Server from Client you would usually do this right: [from client]
ping <sever i.p>
But here if I do that I would directly ping the server without using the
switches. But I want to use the switches to reach the server. Any idea on how I
could go about doing this? Any workaround, suggestion, any idea would be good
right now. I’m really desperate.
