Few questions (in ovn setup): 1. After I do an add-port, who is supposed to add the attached-mac in external_ids? The doc says "The MAC address programmed into the ``virtual hardware'' for this interface..." meaning vif mac address? The reason is in neutron based ovn setup I see mac address of netron port (hence lport) is say "fa:16:3e:da:eb:0a" then the interface mac id (of vm) is set to "fe:16:3e:da:eb:0a" and the attached-mac is set to "fa:16:3e:da:eb:0a". So in ovn setup, is it vif mac of the attached to the VM or some lport mac?
2. iface-status in external_ids in Interface. Who sets it? After add-port and "ip link set <iface> up" this is not getting set as "active". Even if I set it active using ovs-vsctl the port is not forarding packets out. The tcpdump shoes icmp traffic from vm at that port but it goes nowhere. 3. Any consequence if "vm-id" in external_ids not set? Is that used by openstack? Thanks Murali
