Hey Ben,
   We've been running a trace on two processes.  a different incarnation
happened today, we have been using the oVS  to connect to a couple of
virtual ASA's in a Xen environment.
The ASA's had a failover event and when putting them back into a redundant
pair the virtual ASA could not start:
error: Unable to add port vnet6 to OVS bridge br1: Operation not permitted
