Did you bind the physical ports to a dpdk compatible driver?

installed on Ubuntu 16.04:

add-port br0 vhost-user1 -- set Interface vhost-user1 type=dpdkvhostuser
ovs-vsctl
add-port br0 vhost-user2 -- set Interface vhost-user2 type=dpdkvhostuser
If you refer to both topologies as the same, why in one case you use
dpdk ports and in the other you use dpdkvhostuser ports.
Error which we see here is : "qemu-system-x86_64:
-object
memory-backend-file,id=mem,size=512M,mem-path=/dev/hugepages,share=on:
unable to map backing store for hugepages:
I am not an expert about vhost-user, however when I used it I use
"-object
memory-backend-file,id=mem,size=2048M,mem-path=/dev/hugepages,share=on
-numa node,memdev=mem -mem-prealloc" as command line.
Is the size parameter correct in your case?
We need to understand if there is something
which is missed as part of the Hugepages configuration for both the above
installations. Or do you have a better Solution to deal with such basic
topologies with DPDK.
