As I mentioned before, please don't drop the mailing list. It's open source, so you're free to modify the datapath. Once again, I don't know what you're storing or where you'd store it, but you can modify the code on your system as much as you'd like. It's not clear whether the patches would be accepted upstream due to the questions I mentioned earlier.
