Hi all,
an interesting question to me in critiquing languages is
that of the simplicity / safety / expressive power tradeoffs.
This notion is implicit in the following quote, which
I'd like to share with you:
--
C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot.
C++ makes it harder, but when you do,
it blows away your whole leg.
Bjarne Stroustrup

Hence, I think the 'usability' of a language is a very
context-dependent quantity.
