All,

I have been comparing identifier spelling using various
metrics.

The Keyboard metric is based on the distance of the keys on
a keyboard from the key typed to obtain a given letter.

A consequence of using a measure based on single key strokes
is that upper case letters are assigned a zero distance from their
corresponding lower case letter, e.g., the keyboard distance between
m and M is zero (its Levenstein distance is one).

Does anybody know of keyboard metrics that take multiple key
strokes into account (in my case the shift key)?

derek
