Oh, fuff. *Real* programmers use the global implied variable $_, thus avoiding
the whole issue of what to name it. The time they save thinking of names can
thus be spent fretting over when to localise it, and whether postfix 'unless' would
make the code look more poetic than prefix 'if (!...)'.
