We don't have anything to do with EGEE, although we are part of UK e-Science. We are developing our own simple middleware because we aren't really satisfied with the complexity of existing heavyweight offerings (plus we have some special requirements). We think the REST model fits well with our requirements and have produced a first prototype, which we might develop further with Restlet. Hopefully this approach will catch on because I think it has the potential to considerably simplify Grid computing - but let's see if we can make it work for ourselves first! > (who spent far to much time in grid standards body meetings) I sympathise ;-) Cheers, Jon On Sat, Mar 8, 2008 at 10:04 PM, Steve Loughran <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > On Fri, Mar 7, 2008 at 3:41 PM, Jon Blower <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Hi John (et al), > > > > Thanks very much to everyone for very helpful responses on this. > > Perhaps I should go into a bit more detail about our application.
