Fantastic! Thanks for the linkage. Regarding GWT. We actually have two parallel efforts underway here. One team has taken GWT and is able to run it as a Swing or Swt application. ref: http://code.google.com/p/gwtswing/
The other team is working with Xul in the same vein. Our stakeholders don't want our thin-clients to use any RPC mechanism, but rather SOAP or REST. Hence my interest here.
