What you're saying makes sense too as there is an inconsistency. Textual input fields appear fine as request attributes, it seems just the SELECT ones that don't. I'd prefer to just grab everything as request attributes as it'd make things simpler, so many thanks!

Will this solution be in 1.1 final?
