Hi Jim, There have been some discussion about that in an RFE on asynchronous request processing.
"Support asynchronous processing" http://restlet.tigris.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=143 This feature is planned for Restlet 1.2 but I'm not sure yet if it will include Comet support. I'm still skeptical about the way it seems to deviate from the normal HTTP protocol usage.
