At the moment my custom class does something like this

router.attach("/resource?{query}", this.resourceMap.get(uri))
                                        
.getTemplate().getVariables().put("query", new Variable(
                                                        
Variable.TYPE_URI_QUERY, "", false, false));

will this still work?
