This is a bug in the module POM generation. OSGi dependency is indeed not necessary. Ive entered a report for Thierry (he is on vacations for one week): OSGi dependency should be removed from GAE, Android and GWT POMs http://restlet.tigris.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=884 For now, Ive manually added the OSGi version property to the parent POM in the Maven repo (for 2.0 M4 only). I think for GAE, osgi dependency is not necessary.
