Thanks for your insights as always! We have high hopes as well for the new internal connector. In Restlet Framework 2.1, we will add full asynchronous NIO support to this connector, both client and server-side, so it will scale even better, not blocking IO threads on concurrent connections as today. We will co-develop these enhancements with NetDev (http://www.netdev.co.uk/) who already helped us to provide asynchronous call processing support in Restlet Framework 2.0. I have high hopes for the new Restlet M7 internal connector to actually become the fastest and most scalable Restlet delivery solution -- initial benchmarks are promising -- but it's still a baby, even more so than the Grizzly connector.
