Hello Brian, all my apologies for being late. Thanks a lot for your report, it helps to fix a bug regarding the serialization of String values sent by the GWT client. The fix is available in the svn repository (both 2.1 trunk and 2.0 branch), and will be available in the 2.0.2 release (soon), and the 2.1 M1.
