My favorite story like this goes along the lines of a link that would break every day between 1-1:30pm. More or less. But only on weekdays.
Turned out a delivery truck would stop outside each day and the driver would have his/her lunch - right between the 1st floor wireless link link between two buildings. No idea if its true of course ;) Fwiw, I have personally seen serious damage done to a link with cordless phones. Very serious - like the file transfer stops completely. And almost as bad with a microwave oven - both on the floor below. cheers, michael Brian wrote: > Steve Shapery wrote: > >> I think it's Martians, their massing invasion fleet is causing >> occasional random drops with any wireless kit I use. >> >> :) >> >> But seriously, I keep seeing the same problem with a Proxim AP4000, >> as well as a Cisco 1231AG. >> >> the signal just suddenly goes kerplop for ~30 seconds or so, and then >> comes back. >> >> Maybe someone's microwave?
