I need to help 2 elderly relatives set up wifi bubbles at their homes. They both live in another state. They both have cable Internet service. I thought of getting them each a wireless router (e.g., Linksys WRT54G), but I was dreading having to troubleshoot configuration problems remotely. It just occurred to me that Meraki might be the right thing for them. There probably won't be any need for my relatives to create a mesh network, but it seems Meraki's don't need any configuration -- they are truly plug-n-play. And, if I need to configure them, it seems I can do it easily remotely as long as I have the order number or the mac address. Is that right? Would anyone care to discuss the pro's and con's of Meraki's being used this way? What are the drawbacks?
