I have one. It works wonderfully. I got mine from www.wlanparts.com a
great vendor here in SoCal, and I know the owner personally.
Is there a socalfreenet meeting or anything? If so I would be happy to
bring the AP.

I know a lot of you have wanted to put up a link, but have been put
off by the cost of picking up a metrix kit, or building something
yourself.
I'm happy to announce that there's actually a cheap device available
that meets pretty much all of seattlewireless' needs. It's the
Ubiquiti Nanostation 2, and we have it here at Metrix.
For those of you that don't know what it is, it's a tiny little linux
box, powered over ethernet that has 16MB of RAM, 4MB of flash, two
integrated 10db antennas (horizontally and vertically polarized), a
400mW radio, and it's enclosed in a weatherproof case. It even
comes with zipties for mounting!
Price? $79

I have a ton of them in stock right now, so they're available for
local pickup. If you're coming by HackNight on Wednesday, and
there are enough people interested, we can run through flashing them
with OpenWRT.
