Hi all, I'm still alive. Anyhow I've been running a sprint USB modem. For awhile now and looked at the homebrew and comercial solutions available. I went with the MBR1000 by cradlepoint. It is an excelent router. The conpanies wipipe tech appears to be a l7 qos optimized for wwan. It also features load balancing between up to four wan connections, I've done it with three. Being two 3g and DSL. Worked great.
Other projects I looked at was pyramid linux on a soekris and a art based solution.
