Are you sure that it was only 25Kmiles.  Geostationary are32500 miles

bounced off a geostationary satellite 25k miles above!
Afghanistan desert is the dustiest place ive ever seen - if you like dust storms
and little whirlwinds every day. But all the dust wrecks satellite
internet speeds.
satellite internet maybe ok if conditions were clear.
