Even though I am old and don't have the technical chops to actually build anything, I am excited to see this sort of innovation and collaboration going on in Northeast Ohio. Thanks for bringing it to the community.
In response to your wiki page on teaching classes, I can teach some legal topics if anyone would have an interest. I have a presentation that I did at a recent lawyers' seminar on using the legal process to track down online identities. I could tweak it pretty quickly into a half-hour presentation for non-lawyers. For other topics, I could cover some "light" intellectual property topics if there is an interest in those topics. I am not an IP lawyer, but I know the basic differences between copyright, trademark, and patent. I would be willing to look at suggestions from your group as to other legal topics that may be of interest to you. Maybe forms of incorporation, such as a comparison between partnerships, corporations, and limited liability companies? Let me know if you folks are interested. Thomas R.
