** Questions:
*** "To learn more about electronics and computer skills. To absorb other
skills and interest the club has to offer. To share my skills and interests."
*** Chris sez: What makes you happy
**** Skiing.
*** Penny sez: What do you like to make or do?
**** Likes to fly RC airplanes. And builds them. Both nitro and electric,
mostly electric nowadays.
*** Trever sez: the most interesting job you've ever had
**** RRR development in north canton. Developed apparatus machines, testing
machines.

passionate. Lots of machining experience.

== Financial Report ==
* Funds in bank: $3226.14
** Two members need to pay for January.
== Proposals ==
* Require everyone to use spiff
** You wouldn't be required to /use/ it, but your information would be kept
track of in Spiff.
** Can be used to keep track of who and who isn't trained on a machine
* People must have some kind of evidence that they have been trained to use a
machine by a synhak member.
** Andrew says: Members don't pay to babysit guests.
** Big bright labels on machines that require certification or training prior
to use.
** Penny says our insurance requires members to prove they are proficient. If
we make it absoultely clear that you need training to use something, you use
something, and end up getting hurt, there are legal presidences that keep us
safe.
** Discussion about sewage falling into orifces
* http://synhak.org/wiki/Membership/Draft
** Andrew mentions that the sponsorship process effectively duplicates the 5
day waiting period.
** Penny suggests it gets turned in before open hours on Saturday
** Andrew suggests being able to turn it in during/before/the day of a meeting,
since you'll have to spend some few weeks getting sponsors anyways.
** Mark suggests a token that proves you've been to the space when applying.
** Trever mentions that sponsors is effectively equivilent.
** The secretary might only be here once a week. Having applications due Sunday
means it might take a while to get processed.
== Discussion Items ==
If an item of discussion drags on too long, further discussion may be postponed
until after the meeting ends.
During discussion, it is not necessary to write down exactly what each person
says. Record the topics of discussion, and any items of consensus or
controversy here. Detailed descriptions of the conversation should go on the
discuss page for this meeting.
* Penny wants to talk about Homebrewing
** Craig mentioned on the list:
*** Some younger, non-member people were eyeing the homebrewing stuff
*** It seems too "in your face", the spread out beer bottles makes us seem less
credible, more of a hobby shop.
*** Suggestion: Certainly, don't get rid of it. Just not have it so right in
your face.
** Penny and Andrew have been discussing building cabinets to get all that
stuff hidden away.
*** If you manage to drink that cider right now, congratulations. You have some
real chutzpah. It probably tastes like rocket fuel right now, which is why I'm
ok with keeping it out.
** Andrew sez: Any finished product would be in a separate storage fridge or
something, kept held back by an ID scanner of sorts.
** Penny sez: No minor comes into the space without a guardian knowing loud and
clearly that we have alcohol in the space.
** Chris sez the ATF sez we can't be protected by a simple liability waiver.
** Penny sez we should lock up our stuff behind a combo lock that those 21+
have. Craig will procure a cabinet for such a purpose.
*** If we do this, it is your responsibility to keep it locked.
*** If a kid breaks the lock and steals our stuff, thats grounds for being
banned.
** We should have a second fridge for stuff that we can sell, like pop and
whatnot.
*** Probably from surplus, or craigslist, or Trever might be updating his
kitchen soon.
*** Lets have a fundraiser!
* Chris brings up makergear prusa fundraiser
** Roughly $800.
** Penny will figure out how much cashmonies SYNHAK can safely cover.
* Board and Officer positions are still
** Penny nominates Devin Wolfe for Champion
*** Seconded
