I spoke with James Krouse from Ingenuity Fest yesterday, specifically about an
Akron artist that dances with fire, and the possibility of her
performing/presenting her art to the attendees.
During my talk I told James that I will share the fact that the Cleveland Mini
Maker Faire still has some space available that SYN/HAK or other Makers from
Akron can use.
My request:
If you are thinking about presenting/performing at Cleveland Mini Maker
Faire, please contact James at [email protected] or call at
2166504942 to share your art and educate attendees that will be able to make it
out there.
If you know someone who'd like to keep the event under consideration,
please feel free to forward my email.
Here are some points of interest from my conversation:
- Cleveland Mini Maker Faire is going to be held at the Cleveland Public
Library's old as well as new building
- Number of different size rooms will be available
- The event is free and open to the public
- The court yard might be ready for projects/performances that take place
outdoors.
- In addition to Cleveland Mini Maker Faire, James is interested in hosting
artists for Ingenuity Fest
- If you are a musician, James is interested in having you perform as well for
either events
- Website (which has more details): http://www.makerfairecleveland.com/
On a personal note:
I believe everyone has something to share with younger as well as older
attendees.
I have unofficially taken the responsibility of sharing James's passion of
hosting artists in a public setting with as many people I know in the hope that
some would be delighted to share their art with attendees.
Regards,
G
ps:
- I know the website indicates the deadline has already passed. I would like
James to review as many artists as possible, for Cleveland Mini-Maker Faire as
well as Ingenuity Fest.
- I might have to take my cubelets (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhGWo2lyvIk)
to the event and represent Modular Robotics myself._______________________________________________
