I would probably say at least every two weeks. Every week would be preferable. 
Something like an hour or an hour and a half long talk. The technician test 
(first license) isn't incredibly technical with most of the questions geared 
toward safety and the like. The hardest thing would probably be recognizing 
frequency allocations.

Should we start a new thread to gauge interest? Or have an interest 
meeting/presentation/demonstration some night?

W8UPD (U of A's ham club) just got done launching a high altitude balloon and 
are planning to do another sometime this summer. That could be fun to talk 
about.

PS: if anyone wants to pre-assemble something under 2lbs to go in the balloon 
payload (understanding its not guaranteed to come back) We will give you a free 
ride to near space (about 90,000-100,000ft).
