While printing a wonderfully built drink coaster that was supposed to be a parts bin, it seems that the RAMPS melted its heated bed connector. I originally thought the problem was that weird red T-shaped connector that I don't know the name of, which is why I cut the connection to it to try hardwiring around it. It wasn't the real problem, but I'm ordering some new connectors on Digikey as a precaution for future incidents which should show up later next week.
In the meantime though, the printer is in a slightly deconstructed state. You should still be able to print on it by clipping the bed and plate back on, but you'd need to modify your g-code to not wait for the bed to heat up. Other than that, the RAMPS board is fine. Regardless, I've ordered a RAMBo 1.2 to replace the whole thing: https://ultimachine.com/content/rambo-12 It has some great improvements over the RAMPS such as better stepper motor driver cooling, actual fuses on the power rails, terminal plug connectors for everything, and more. _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] https://synhak.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss
