Howdy hackers! We had a great moving day today, however there is still ALOT more that needs to be done as we weren't able to finish what we set out to do by the end of the night.
*What happened:* Everything in the Perkins room except for the furniture, 3D printer, and giant laser printer was moved. Electronics lab was moved Kitchen packed up and about half of it got moved most everything on the walls came down, many areas got broken down and boxed/staged for moving about 1/3 to 1/2 of the main space got moved New space got some areas sort of setup-ish, some of it is temporary and many areas got cleaned up. *What's left:* New space still has a lot of cleanup to do before hacking areas can get set up. Things that have been moved to the new space needs grouped and organized by genre (Computer lab separated from Elecronics lab from Machine Shop from Craft Lab, from kitchen lab etc etc.) Old space Perkins Room furniture 3D printer, laser printer, needs moved. Craft room needs broken down and moved, server/storage room needs broken down and moved. Devin will need some help from some of the stronger members/guests with the rest of the machine shop. There's still benches, shelving and many smaller parts/pieces that need to go in boxes then moved, the kiosk needs broken down and moved. Unless someone has access to a large truck AND can be available promptly and early, we'll be renting a box truck. My understanding is that the OLD SPACE MUST BE EMPTY BY THE END OF SUNDAY. Setup at the new space can still take place throughout the next few days/weeks. Lets make it happen. If I'm wrong about emptying the space then please correct me. *What does this mean? * We need all hands on deck tomorrow if we're going to be able to make magic happen with enough time to enjoy the end of the day. If you can't make it, we understand, everyone has lives and this is a volunteer thing but it would make the process go much smoother for synhak and everyone involved. LETS MAKE A HACKERSPACE!
