According to the bylaws, the Champions can: "supervise, direct, and control the Corporation's activities, affairs, and lesser officers."
As most are aware, I used that power late last year to take over control of the Treasurer's duties. The Problem: There is no clear resolution if the Treasurer comes back and I refuse to give up the office. I'd like to amend the bylaws with a defined procedure: * Champions may request full transparency from another officer in order to supervise their duties. * A Champion may direct other officers to perform the duties given to them through these Bylaws with approval and supervision of the other Champions. A Champion may direct another officer in this manner without approval and supervision * A Champion who intends to assume control of another officer's duties is required to: ** Provide at least 7 days notice to the officer, board and membership ** State the conditions for when control is to be released * While a Champion is controlling another officer's duties, they: ** Must be supervised, directed, and controlled by the other Champions in the same manner as which the office under control is supervised, directed, and controlled. ** Must relinquish control at the next election of officers ** Must, upon resignation of the office of Champion, relinquish control to another Champion as chosen by the Champions. * The officer whose duties are under the control of a Champion may: ** Re-assume their duties after no less than 7 days notice of intent to assume duties to the Board and Champions. ** Not exercise any of the duties of their office without re-assuming control _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] https://synhak.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss
